Valeways Walking Festival – May 2026 (Bookings open on February 2nd 2026)

Valeways is delighted to announce the 2026 Walking Festival, taking place from 5th May to 11th of May 2026 and celebrating the rich heritage, landscapes and communities of the Vale of Glamorgan. This year’s theme shines a spotlight on the remarkable churches scattered across the Vale, with 27 guided walks designed to showcase their history, architecture and stories.

The festival offers something for everyone. Alongside the main church-focused walks, there will be five relaxed Stroller events, ideal for those who prefer shorter, sociable routes at a gentle pace. We are also pleased to feature two specialist interest walks: a fascinating visit to Llantrithyd Deer Park, exploring its historic landscape, and a geology-themed walk along the dramatic Ogmore coast led by an expert guide. Whether you’re a seasoned walker, a keen explorer of local heritage, or simply looking to enjoy the outdoors in good company, the Valeways Walking Festival promises a warm welcome and a memorable 6 days of discovery.
